Levantine Arabic Group Courses in Amman
Fixed six-week terms for complete beginners. Small groups of three to six students, ninety hours of teaching, and a start date you can plan a trip around.
What this course is — and what it isn't
We would rather you arrive in the right class than in a full one. Read this before you reserve a seat.
- Spoken Levantine Arabic only. Everyday Ammiyya as it is used in Jordan and Palestine — not Modern Standard Arabic. If you need to read documents or follow the news, our MSA programmes are the right place.
- Complete beginners. This group programme is built for level one. No previous Arabic is needed, and none is assumed.
- Mornings, five days a week. Three hours a day, Sunday to Thursday, for six weeks.
- Three to six students. Small enough that you speak in every session, large enough to practise with other people.
- In person, in Jabal Al-Weibdeh. Group terms run at the centre.
Already speak some Arabic?
Group terms start from zero, so they will feel slow if you already hold a conversation. Private lessons are the better route — we build those around your level and your schedule. Tell us your level and we will point you to the right option.
What ninety hours covers
A balanced path from the alphabet to real conversation, taught by Ammani teachers who speak the dialect you will hear on the street.
Foundational skills
- The Arabic letters — reading, writing and pronunciation
- Basic grammar: sentence structure and verb conjugation

- Jordanian and Palestinian cultural context
- Fluency drills for faster, more confident speech

Ramadan and public holidays
Winter Term 1 in 2027 runs into Ramadan. Classes continue during Ramadan with adjusted morning hours, and we tell you the exact timing before the term begins. Terms are arranged so that no course runs across Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha.
Fees and enrolment
One price for the full term, or a weekly rate if you can only join for part of it.
The full-term rate works out cheaper than six separate weeks, so book the whole term if your dates allow. The deposit and any fees paid after a course has started are non-refundable.
